Man…I finished part 1 of my interview yesterday (which lasted an hour) and was feeling good about it until the interviewer says there’s TWO more parts!. I’m going to have to do a group interview with the whole team I’m going to be on and THEN I’m going to have to make a presentation and do it in front of them! The purpose of that is to see how I handle being on the spot so I’m assuming they’re going to ask me odd questions to throw me off. Fun. I realized that I should’ve asked what the salary range of the position is…
Even so, I found time to watch Wall-E. I would say it was a pretty good movie. Not anywhere near as funny as Kung Fu Panda, but had a much deeper storyline. Or something like that.
Now on to figures! I had Pre-Ordered the Ikki Tousen Dragon Destiny 1/7 Kanu Swimsuit Taki Version PVC Figure expecting it to look like this…

Notice the difference? Why does her skin look so glossy? I usually put glossy skin and cheap figure together. Why do the preview pics not match the ones in the display case? I really do hope the skin isn’t glossy like that…for the price of $80 or something I paid for it I expect the maker to sand it down or something.
Have you ever had a Pre-Order come that didn’t look like what you thought it was going to look like?
hmmm wondering if maybe they intentionally oiled the skin, you know, to give her the oiled up babe at the beach look? as you say the difference is quite drastic so yeah woulda shocked me too. maybe you can find some other pics somewhere to compare further…
so far everything i’ve ordered has been exactly as i expected (or better in some cases ^_^) *knocks on wood*
The thought had crossed my mind they may have left the skin shiny to give it that oiled look…but I prefer the later. I guess I’ll have to wait until it is closer to being released to see the real pics.
You have pretty good taste in figures. I have ordered several and was so displeased with them I let my brother put them in his display case. Shunya Yamashita’s Rudy was two of them…sucks because I ordered two color variations at the same time.
